SmallRig VB50 Overview

The black VB50 Mini V-Mount Battery from SmallRig is an ultracompact, lightweight 50Wh battery that can support up to a 12A draw at a nominal 14.8V. This travel-friendly battery is suitable for powering handheld cameras, drones, and gimbals.

The VB50 provides multiple accessory ports, including one 14.8V D-Tap output, one 8 VDC barrel output, one 12 VDC barrel output, one USB-C output, and one USB-A output for powering various accessories, cameras, or mobile devices. The battery can be charged using a standard V-mount charger, an optional D-Tap charger, or by using the USB-C input/output with a 45W PD fast charger. A built-in OLED display shows the remaining battery capacity and status.

Could this battery power the amaran COB 60x S Bi-Color light, and for how long?

Yes, the SmallRig VB50 Mini V-Mount Battery (50Wh) can power amaran COB 60x S Bi-Color light, however theoretical estimate of the battery life is only about half an hour using it at full power. The battery is 50Wh and the maximum power draw of the light is 78W which would be (50Wh/78W)*0.8=0.51 please keep in mind this is a theory only, the battery may draw faster in cold conditions or last longer if the light is used at lower power. When the SmallRig VB50 Mini V-Mount Battery (50Wh) screen flashes "OP," it means that : The total discharging power exceeds the rated total power. This information is located in the operation manual on page 6.

This battery is classified as "mini" Is this the same thing as "micro"? IE, will this battery fit in a micro V-mount plate?

The Smallrig VB50 battery is Mini or Micro size. The VB50 battery is only Dimensions (W x H x D) 4.1 x 2.9 x 1.4" at 1.6lbs weight, It is even smaller than other batteries listed as Mini size.

Yes, The power draw would be less than the battery outputs and you could power external displays and your camera with the SmallRig VB50 battery.
