Core SWX Helix 9 Max Overview

Provide power to your portable professional video and cinema equipment with this Core SWX Helix Max 98Wh 4-Battery Kit with 4-Position Charger put together by B&H. The four Helix Max 98Wh lithium-ion batteries feature a 98Wh capacity and a B-mount. They are dual-voltage capable and support a maximum draw of up to 20A at 16.8V and 10A at 33.6V. Each battery also features D-Tap and USB accessory outputs to charge additional gear.

The compact Mach4 charger features four bays to replenish all four batteries simultaneously at 4A. Put your batteries on to charge before a shoot, and you'll be ready to go during production.

Core SWX Helix Max 98Wh Lithium-Ion Dual-Voltage Battery (B-Mount)

This B-mount Helix Max 98Wh Lithium-Ion Dual-Voltage Battery from Core SWX expands upon the features of the Hypercore NEO series by adding simultaneous, 14 and 28V dual-voltage capabilities for a complete onboard system with high-voltage performance. A nearly lossless transmission and a maximum load of 20A at 16.8V or 10A at 33.6V makes this battery ideal for powering more demanding equipment builds in cine and broadcast applications.

The Helix Max draws minimal current at its maximum voltage, creating less heat and extending the runtime and longevity of the battery. A D-Tap aux output and USB output can power other accessories from monitors to mobile devices. Integrated into the battery's design is an LCD to monitor the runtime and total battery percentage. Adding the separately available Helix hot-swap plate can double the available battery capacity and runtimes. An aluminum release lever ensures long-term durability.

This Mach4 4-Position Battery Charger from Core SWX charges four 98Wh Helix B-Mount batteries simultaneously with a 4A quick charge current for full power in 90 minutes. Red and green LEDs indicate charging status for easy monitoring. The Mach4 supports 90 to 240 VAC input voltage for worldwide compatibility.

This charger has a low-profile design at just 3.2" thick and weighs only 5 lb. Its portability is increased with its featured recessed handle for easy transport. The aluminum housing creates a durable yet lightweight construction.

Is there a switch on the battery to run 14 and then switch to 28 and back so you can use it with a Sony FX 9 camera?

The Core SWX Helix Max 98Wh Lithium-Ion Dual-Voltage Battery cannot be manually switched between the two voltages. The battery switches automatically depending on the voltage of the plate that it is attached to. If the battery detects a higher voltage plate, it will adjust accordingly to the higher voltage. The default will be 14V, which is supported on the Sony PXW-FX9 XDCAM 6K Full-Frame Camera System (B&H # SOPXWFX9). The battery will switch to 28V when mounted on a camera that's supports that voltage.
