Compatible with FUJIFILM, Canon, Nikon, Olympus, and Sony cameras, this Lux Senior Retro Camera Flash from Godox is a diminutive 7 x 4.5 x 3.3" light source with basic features that is small enough to have it regularly mounted on your camera.
With a vintage inspired design and a distinct black finish, the unit has a simple dial that correlates ISO with apertures, power levels, and shooting distances. For example, if you want to shoot at 5' with an ISO of 400, the dial lines up f/5.6 and 1/16 power.
The flash has an Auto Mode, too, that defaults to f/2.8 at ISO 100.
Control features include an Optical Mode that offers S1 and S2 settings. In S1 the flash will fire in response to another manual or TTL flash, while in S2, the Retro Flash will respond similarly, but ignore the initial flash.
The unit runs on its rechargeable battery and comes with a triggering cable and a storage bag.

I purchased this to match the reteo styling of the Nikon Z fc. Functions as expected. I'd give 5 stars but the instructions aren't great. I had to look up some tutorials to figure it out.
Locking pin broke my Hot Shoe!

Be careful and note the locking wheel needs to be fully retracted to the top most position before removing from your camera. I didn't know this and the locking pin was still slightly down and it broke my hot shoe when removing it from the camera. I tried four different flash units and my hot shoe will no longer fire.
I wasn't even able to take any photos with this new flash because of this, but I will say it looks cool and seems to be made well.

No, the Godox Lux Senior Retro Camera Flash is a flash, not LED. And like most flashes are 5600 color temperature. You can get gels to change the color temperature, like these, https://bhpho.to/3AafqKr .

How do we use this in Auto mode with a Canon R and an EOS 1V? The manual does not explain.
Asked by: Matt
In auto mode Godox Lux Senior Retro Camera Flash defaults to ISO 100 and aperture 2.8, so you would need to set the camera to ISO 100 and aperture 2.8 to get a good exposure in that function.

Being a bulb flash does it sync to the B flash setting like older bulb flashes?
Asked by: John
The Godox Lux Senior Retro Camera Flash (Black) looks like an old flash but is a new one. And works like most speedlights. Just that it is a manual flash. It will syncs to most cameras that have a standard hotshoe.
