SmallRig Revo-Arcane Matte Box Overview

Prevent lens flares and avoid glare in your footage with this Revo-Arcane Lightweight Multifunctional Modular Matte Box Basic Bundle from SmallRig. The matte box has a 114mm opening, making it compatible with 114mm lens diameters, and includes five threaded adapter rings to accommodate lenses of smaller measurements. Lenses with a focal length of 14mm or more are also supported by the matte box, allowing you to shoot ultrawide angles.

This basic bundle also includes a 4 x 5.65" filter tray, lens hood, top flag, and two side flags to further adjust for bright sunlight or fill lights. A dual 15mm rod support makes the matte box compatible with support rod systems. All the accessories and the matte box can be stored in the storage bag for transportation to your next shoot.

The Mattebox is very superb in term of quality and is very solid. The Flags however can be a bit annoying to fix.

The NiSi AUREUS PRIME lenses have an 86mm front filter thread that can be used with the 86mm to 114mm adapter ring included with the SmallRig Revo-Arcane Lightweight Multifunctional Modular Matte Box Basic Bundle (114mm Back).

The SmallRig Revo-Arcane Lightweight Multifunctional Modular Matte Box Basic Bundle fits one 4x5.65 filter. You can use a rotating (with fingerwheel) 4x5.65 filter with this mattebox.

Using a 114mm to 105mm thread adapter to mount the SmallRig Revo-Arcane Lightweight Multifunctional Modular Matte Box Basic Bundle (114mm Back) to the Sigma 60-600mm f/4.5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports Lens (Sony E) is one solution. Using a 16mm lens on a full frame system when using the SmallRig Revo-Arcane Lightweight Multifunctional Modular Matte Box Basic Bundle (114mm Back) will likely cause vignetting.

I'd like to use this on a 112mm Filter Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S lens. However this box is for 114mm size lenses. Any advice?

The SmallRig Revo-Arcane Lightweight Multifunctional Modular Matte Box would not support your lens model. The largest front filter size it would support currently is 86mm.

It comes standard with five threaded adapter rings (Φ67-114mm / Φ72-114mm / Φ77-114mm / Φ82-114mm / Φ86-114mm) for common DSLR lens and circular filters like VND, GND, CPL or you can separately purchase Clamp-On Ring Kit (Φ80-114mm / Φ85-114mm / Φ95-114mm / Φ110-114mm) 3408 or Silicone Donut 3409 for more cine lenses.
