Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Biotar 58mm f/1.5 II Reviews

Optically super interesting, but with shipping issues

Optically this lens is very cool and much sharper than you'd expect. I really loved the overall image quality output. Unfortunately, the outside of my copy was damaged on arrival. To be fair, I'm not sure if this is a B&H issue or the manufacture not packaging the lenses properly. $1199 USD is extremely steep for a lens of this caliber though, especially with no weather. The build quality feels sturdy but for the price it should come in perfect condition.

No, the Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Biotar 58mm f/1.5 II Lens for FUJIFILM X is a mirrorless design. designed for mirrorless camera. It is not an SLR design that has been adapted to work with mirrorless. As such, it does not need that barrel extension.

Does the lens send exif info to the camera?
Asked by: Marlon
Being that the Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Biotar 58mm f/1.5 II Lens for Sony E lacks electronic contacts on the lens mount, it would not relay EXIF information from the lens to the camera.
