BenQ EX240N Reviews

A pretty good budget monitor

By Bosch
Rated 4 out of 5
Date: 2024-01-09

My previous monitory was an ASUS VH242H (TN panel), which cost me about the same as this EX240N nearly ten years ago. Pros: - Colors look very nice in comparison - Bright white sections look much clearer - Dark sections are a bit more visible - No stuck pixels or any obvious defects - Very space efficient Cons: - Low response times are noticeable well below 165hz, regardless of voltage settings. This is most visible when moving the mouse cursor on the desktop. - Deep blacks have a noticeable blue tinge - The display likes to forget its settings when powered off (this might be Manjaro) When running games capped at 100hz, I don't notice much in the way of ghosting or smearing. A pretty great deal at around 100 dollars.
