Bought it to replace my 17-28mm Tamron, that I really liked, in hopes that it would make for a more practical every day lens for my A7C and it fit the bill perfectly. Pleasing images and swift AF. A great little lens.

Now for the ugly: Wha are the video imitations both in terms of frame rates and autofocus Limitations for frame rates and AF modes for both internal recording as well as the video sent out the HDMI port on an A7-IV?

The focus ring on the Tamron 20-40mm f/2.8 Di III VXD Lens for Sony E can be customized to control the aperture with the Tamron Lens Utility software available on the Tamron website. The lens has a USB-C port. It is best to use the Tamron CC-150 USB-A to USB-C Lens Utility Connection Cable (4.9'), BH #TACC150, or the Tamron CC-350 USB-C Lens Utility Connection Cable (4.9'), BH #TACC350.

The Tamron 20-40mm f/2.8 Di III VXD Lens for Sony E is not on any housing manufacturer's port chart. For this reason, this lens has not been used underwater.
