This Autofocus Adapter from 7artisans Photoelectric allows a Canon EF or EF-S-mount lens to be used on a Sony E-mount camera. Gold-plated copper electronics provide enhanced performance and support phase detection and contrast detection autofocus. The adapter also supports image stabilization and enables swift aperture control. If an attached lens is capable of generating Exif metadata, this adapter is designed to transfer that information so that it can be saved with image files generated by the lens and camera. Additionally, the adapter includes a tripod foot with 1/4"-20 threads to reduce stress on the camera mount when placed on a tripod.

Will this work with the Canon 17-55 2.8 EFS lens to Sony FX6?
Yes, the 7artisans Photoelectric Autofocus Adapter for Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera can be used to adapt the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens (BH #CA175528IS) to the Sony FX6 Full-Frame Cinema Camera (Body Only), BH #SOFX6. However, you should be aware that the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens is not a full-frame lens, so it will not cover the FX6's full-frame sensor. So to use the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens you would either have to crop into Super 35 mode, which is limited to 1080, or crop into the image in post production. I suggest you consider using a full-frame lens instead.

I have this adapter and the a6700. Technically it is compatible with the a6700, but it has bugs and is in need of a firmware update from 7Artisans. For example, when you are in video shooting mode, the continuous auto-focus stops working as soon as you hit the record button. So, no continuous auto-focus while you are recording. 7Artisans hasn't issued a firmware update to address the issues with the a6700, but according to them, they are working on it.
