I ordered three as my first-time lights for video in a studio environment. Pros: * Color temperature and intensity is more than enough for indoor use in a 12'x12' living room. I use about 30% intensity. I haven't tried them outdoors * Lightweight * Don't seem to heat much when used under 30 minutes. * Reflectors are good and easy to install. I'm using one for my hair light * All cables and covers are high quality * Backpack holds everything very nicely. I use it as storage. Cons: * The StudioLink app for controlling the lights doesn't work on my Google Pixel 8. It shows a blank screen, even though when starting it after an install it does check permissions. Westcott help desk wasn't any help - their developer said it works on his Pixel 8, and then crickets. The app works on a recent model Samsung.

I really liked the quality of light this unit produced. It worked great for video, especially when using the Westcott 3x4 Rapid Box.  The control knobs were not always returning to their original position after being pressed in. The Westcott Studio (IOS) Application was not working. It would shut down shortly after opening it. Therefore, I was unable to connect to the app and control the light, or update the firmware.

Regarding your question about the Westcott L60-B Bi-Color COB LED 3-Light Kit with Backpack, depending on which kit you will purchase, you may have the Westcott Rapid Box Switch Octa-S Softbox (26"), but the grid is not included with it and needs to be purchased separately. For the Westcott Rapid Box Switch Octa-S Softbox (26"), you will need the Westcott 40° Egg Crate Grid for Rapid Box Octa 26" and Switch Octa-S (https://bhpho.to/2HqSvvE).

No. The small ones are rapid box switch inserts.

The Westcott L60-B Bi-Color COB LED (B&H# WEL60BBCCL) may be used with Sony L-series batteries (sometimes also called "NP-F" batteries, although many incompatible types of Sony batteries also begin with that prefix) with the addition of the (optional) Westcott L60-B/U60-B Battery Grip with NP-F Adapter (B&H# WEL60BBGNA). If used with two Watson NP-F970 High-Capacity Lithium-Ion Battery Packs (7.4V, 10,050mAh) (B&H# WANPF970) at full intensity, the approximate duration of use could be as much as 45 minutes.
