Plugable NIX Overview

The Plugable Performance NIX USB 3.0/USB-C HDMI Streaming and Capture Card enables plug-and-play streaming and capture. Whether you're streaming on Vimeo, YouTube Live, or preparing footage for upload to your company's Google Drive folder, the Performance NIX Capture Card enables easy capture at resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz. Supporting near-zero latency, this capture card is designed for low system resource usage.

This capture card is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux hosts. Input devices include cameras from Sony, Nikon, Canon, Panasonic, and Fujifilm; Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 consoles are also supported. Please note, the HDMI input does not allow recording from HDCP-enabled sources such as Blu-ray players, streaming devices, set-top boxes, or older cameras with unencrypted HDMI output.

Extensive Compatibility
The NIX capture card works with popular software streaming solutions such as OBS, StreamLabs OBS, and XSplit on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Streaming, capturing, and pass through are supported at a max resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz via supported streaming platforms such as Zoom, YouTube Live, or Google Meetings.
HDMI 1.4 Pass Through with Near-Zero Latency
With HDMI pass through, a splitter is not required for capturing all of your exciting gaming moments. Plug your console or computer into the HDMI input port, and your display into the HDMI output port, for latency-free and hassle-free pass through. Please note, resolutions above 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz are not supported via pass through.
Supports USB-A and C 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Connections
The NIX capture card includes both USB-A and C 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 cables, so you can connect to virtually any Windows, macOS, or Linux system with USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 ports. USB 2.0 connections will limit capture quality. Please note, Mac systems can be used for recording other platforms, but are not compatible as an input source.
Plug and Play
Utilizing built-in drivers in your operating system for direct capture, this capture card eliminates the need to manage additional software or drivers. Designed for low resource usage, the NIX capture card doesn't waste precious memory capacity or CPU and GPU performance to capture your most important footage.
Compatibility
The NIX capture card can capture HDMI output via cameras, including those from Sony, Canon, and Nikon. Please note, macOS and platforms that require High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) such as Blu-ray and DVD players, Roku, and Netflix are not supported as sources. Older cameras requiring HDCP on their HDMI outputs are not supported.

This capture card uses Frame Rate Up-Conversion (FRUC) to take input from the source platform and up-sample the video to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps. In some cases, streamed text may appear smaller in appearance compared to the pass-through display.

Yes, the Plugable Performance NIX USB 3.0 HDMI Streaming and Capture Card can be used with Microsoft Teams but it is not "certified."
