The KIPON Focal Reducer 0.8x for Medium Format Lens on Hasselblad XD Camera is part of a series of lens adapters that bring Mamiya 645, Pentax 645, Pentax 67, Hasselblad V, and Pentacon 6 medium format optics to Hasselblad XD mount cameras, while virtually eliminating any crop factor and image loss, and maintaining a diagonal angle of view. The adapter multiplies the focal length by 0.8x based on the original, so the effective focal length becomes shorter, and the shooting range is larger.

Three groups of five optical elements increase the aperture one stop (based on the original lens so f/2.8 becomes f/2.0), and the depth of field is favorably blurred. KIPON's telecentric design lets light come to the digital sensor vertically as far as possible.
