The 4TB version of this SSD is NOT compatible with at 2013 Intel i7 15â MacBook Pro. I have first hand experience with this. As soon as you plug the SSD in you will get a âinsufficient powerâ error message.

The SanDisk Professional 1TB PRO-G40 SSD Thunderbolt 3 Portable SSD (B&H# SAS311TB) has not been tested (nor approved) by Blackmagic Design for use with the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 (B&H# BL6KPKCAMG2). However, it does offer high speed write performance and will certainly be more than sufficient for most of that camera's recording formats/CODECs.

The SanDisk Professional PRO-G40 SSD does not have built in encryption but you can encrypt it if you have a Mac or if you have Windows 11 Pro or Enterprise editions.
