The Nikon NIKKOR Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S Lens does not have front filter threads. Instead you can use this Mr. Star Guy adjustable 145-175mm solar filter over the lens: https://bhpho.to/4bCo9pp

What size filter does the front of the lens take?
Asked by: Chris
The 600/4S TC doesn't have a filter thread in the front for a filter. Front is simply too large. It comes with a hood though that should be able to protect the front of the lens from most things.

Nikon Z8 combine withNikon NIKKOR Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S Lens (Nikon Z) has a total weight of 9.2 LB. If you are going to be shooting for multiple hours a monopod or tripod system would be ideal to help hold and stabilize your camera equipment. The foot on Nikon NIKKOR Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S Lens (Nikon Z) is completely different than the foot on the Nikon NIKKOR Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S Lens. The foot connects with 4 screws while the foot on the 400mm f4.5 lens has a quick release system.
