Is chrominance noise high under low light conditions on the R6 Mark II sensor? How does it compare to Canon R3 in that regard?
Asked by: Vitaly
BHPhoto staff member seems to understand the difference between chromatic aberrations and chrominance noise. It is well known that chrominance noise is higher in cameras with front illuminated sensors versus cameras with BSI sensors. I own Sony A7 III. Even though A7 III is very bad in raw color science, chrominance noise is less visible in low light, low contrast conditions.
