13th Gen Intel Core Performance
The system houses the modular Intel NUC 13 Extreme Compute Element, which features a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K processor at 125W, nearly twice the base power of the previous generation. Its eight performance cores can be boosted up to 5.8 GHz while its 16 efficiency cores handle background tasks.
Fits a Triple-Slot Graphics Card
The NUC 13 Extreme can fit up to a triple-slot 12" graphics card in its PCIe 5.0 x16 slot.
DDR5 RAM
There are two dual-channel DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM slots, which can support up to 64GB.
Stay Connected
Play your favorite multiplayer games with a reliable, wired connection, thanks to both a 2.5 GbE and a 10 GbE Ethernet jack. For going wireless, the NUC 13 Extreme has Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) connectivity.
Thunderbolt 4
Thunderbolt 4 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector and features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB4 at up to 20 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort allows you to connect either one 8K monitor or up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 4 port.
Cooling
Dual 120mm fans help to provide efficient airflow to the system for optimal performance.
Compact Design
With the modern design, airflow is optimized to minimize noise and throttling during hours of intense gameplay. The NUC 13 Extreme also has a small footprint.
OS Ready
Windows 11 (sold separately) can be installed on the NUC 13 Extreme.

Are there any other cpu coolers that should be considered for the 13900k if this will be run constantly?
Asked by: Patrick
Greetings from the Intel team. Thank you for your question. The Intel NUC 13 Extreme chassis is redesigned to optimize airflow and maintain cooler temperatures during hours of intense gameplay—with lower fan speeds, less noise, and less chance of throttling. Besides that, the NUC 13 Extreme Kit features additional fan mounting locations to provide cooling options for customers. The NUC 13 Extreme Kit features three additional chassis fan mounting locations. These locations are designed to mount a standard desktop 120mm x 120mm fan with self-tapping fan mount screws. Two fan mounts are on the bottom of the chassis, while one is on the backside if the hard drive bracket is removed. Are all of the M.2 slots active when a PCIe graphics card is installed?
Asked by: John
The Compute Element has two visible PCIe connectors, a x4 and a x16 that are supplied by the CPU and two more PCIe x4 circuits provided by the Z690 PCH. The CPUs PCIe 5.0 x 16 is dedicated to the GPU, while the PCIe 4.0 x4 is dedicated to a single M.2 slot. The PCH provides two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 drive slots. All run at full speed.
