The Ewa-Marine U-A Housing is an economical solution for using any autofocus SLR camera near or just under the water's surface, manufactured from double laminated PVC and with an optical glass port.  It is rated for dives of up to 66 feet (20 m) depth; perfect for snorkeling, shallow diving, or generally sandy, dusty, and humidity weather conditions.  The U-A gives your camera the best possible protection while being fully operable.  When not in use, it is relatively light and takes up little space.

A pair of non-corrosive and seawater resistant clamping rails fit together for sealing, tightened by knurled screw knobs.  The housing's internal glove allows easy access to camera controls.  If your setup is too buoyant underwater, the optional BF1 lead weight can be affixed to the bottom of the housing.

The U-A housing accommodates an autofocus SLR camera without shoe-mounted flash, with the maximum dimensions being 6.7 x 5.3 x 6.7" (170 x 135 x 170mm) WxHxD with lens and a 72mm maximum lens filter thread. Adapters for 52, 55, 58 and 62mm filter threads are included.

An Ideal Near-the-Surface Solution

The Ewa-Marine housing's perfect for use at or near the water's surface, such as in sailing or snorkeling, but is also practical for protection from harsh weather conditions

question

Can a Canon 5D Miii with a 24-70mm (Canon L-Series) fit comfortably in here?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Ewa-Marine U-A Underwater Housing is too small for the Canon 5D mark III. Also the lens port could only handle lenses that have a 72mm filter thread. The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM has a 82mm filter thread. The Ewa-Marine U-BF100 Underwater Housing is large enough for the Canon 5D Mark III and the lens port can handle lenses with a 82mm filter thread.

Can the U-A accommodate a lens that is not threaded (wide angle fish eye) or are the threads required for proper attachment?
Asked by: Price
It can accommodate a non threaded lens. Be sure your camera is warm and dry before it goes in the housing to reduce the chance of fogging.

question

can a Nikon D750 with a 24-70mm nikorr lens fit in this housing?
Asked by: Nasrin S.
For that outfit we would reccomend the U-B Series which allows for a larger body/lens combination. filter thread is also important to not as larger filter threads such as 77 or 82 mm lenses need to utilize the 100 designation housings which have a larger front port.
