This display adapter is designed to transform a simple laptop into a multitasking command center. Both USB-A and USB-C equipped machines are compatible with the Silicon Motion chipset and software drivers.
Windows 10 and 11 machines take advantage of all four HDMI outputs out of the box, which can be expanded to a massive eight displays with the incorporation of a second adapter. While M1 and M2 Mac systems usually only support a single external monitor, the full quad-display functionality of the adapter is maintained on these systems via the Silicon Motion InstantView App. This adapter is not recommended for use with gaming, editing, or other graphics-intense operations.
