The HAE29 GoTo Alt-Az/Equatorial Mount with iPolar Scope from iOptron weighs just eight pounds, yet has a payload capability of 29.7 pounds, without needing a cumbersome counterweight or shaft. Utilizing strain wave drive technology for RA and DEC movement, the HAE29 features a black-anodized, all-metal, CNC-machined body. Unique features including an electronic friction break and power-down memory allow the mount to safely stop and resume a GoTo slew or continue tracking even after an abrupt power loss (no need to realign and start from the beginning). The mount accepts both Vixen and Losmandy-D style saddles. Control the HAE29 mount with the hand controller, the iOptron Commander Lite app, or a computer.

What is a recommended Tripod other than the 1.75 inch carbon fiber that ioptron offers?
Asked by: Frank
For the iOptron HAE29 GoTo Alt-Az/Equatorial Mount one needs to make sure one uses a tripod with the correct mount for the head. The iOptron Carbon Fiber Tripod (21-36.8") is the best option, BH #IO8061 (https://bhpho.to/3LtX21A).
