LiveU LU810 Overview

Encode and transmit high-resolution, low-latency video from a mobile location such as a production van or remote facility within the LiveU Central cloud platform environment with the LU810 HEVC Multi-Camera Encoding Server. This 1 RU rackmount server provides H.265 HEVC/H.264 encoding and wired network transmission of up to four SDI cameras via the one 12G-SDI and three 3G-SDI video inputs. The server supports input and transmission of up to 1080p60 video with 16 audio channels, and it is upgradable with an optional license to support up to 4K60 video I/O.

The encoder works within the LiveU Central cloud and can collaborate with optional LiveU field technology such as DataBridge, Audio Connect, IP Pipe, Tally Light, and Video Return. Operational modes include live broadcast, store live recordings on an SD card within the unit, store and forward streams of different bandwidth quality, 24/7 persistent transmission mode, and FTP bonded transfers.

The server also supports optional cellular connections that are available separately, and it also supports bonding with up to three connections, including Ethernet, cellular, and Wi-Fi connections.

Multi-Camera Production
One unit supports up to four cameras. Engage your audience with a rich multi-angle production. The LU810 supports up to four fully frame-synced feeds in high resolution from a single unit. Enrich your productions by adding more live feeds while reducing your costs and carbon footprint.
Versatile Vehicle Contribution Solution
The LU810 can serve as a key element in your production van to transmit live video from the vehicle to your on-site or remote production facility. When equipped with (optional, available separately) 5G/4G modems, it lets you flexibly adapt to your location needs, switching between cellular, wired, and satellite connectivity to achieve high-quality transmission in any scenario. Transmission quality and costs can be further optimized using LiveU's least cost bonding feature.
Cost-Effective, Fixed Point-to-Point Solution
The LU810 can be used as an alternative for fiber and satellite-based productions, supporting broadcast-grade, low-delay video transmission between stations or from venues/stadiums to your remote production center. As a fixed location encoder, the LU810 allows you to significantly cut your production costs, ensuring resilient live video transmission over the public internet.
Professional Video Quality
This model supports up to 1080p60 video encoding and transmission with two audio channels, and with an optional license upgrade, the LU810 supports high-end productions with up to 4Kp60 10-bit HDR transmission at 30 Mb/s with ultra-low latency (down to 0.4 sec) over HEVC with up to 16 audio channels over SDI for optimal color depth and richness.
