How many stops of stabilization does this have on a camera without IBIS?
Asked by: Zak
Although Panasonic does not state a specific number of stops the stabilization provides in the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-35mm f/2.8 lens, it is safe to say it will be about 2-3 stops. But also when using a wider angle lens camera shake blur is less noticeable as compared to a telephoto lens. Plus by having an f2.8 aperture the lens can achieve faster shutter speeds which also help reduce the risk of camera shake blur.

Why doesn't Panasonic put gear rings on lenses rather that make users install them over the standard rings?
Asked by: Russell
Hello! The decision to not integrate gear rings into the design is intentional to minimize bulkiness. Additionally, it's important to note that this lens is not designed specifically for cinematic purposes, unlike lenses that typically include built-in gear rings for such applications. -M
