Key Features
  • Micro Four Thirds System | f/2.8 to f/22
  • 24-70mm (Full-Frame Equivalent)

  • POWER Optical Image Stabilizer
A redesigned replacement of the fast standard zoom, this Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-35mm f/2.8 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens features a variety of optical upgrades for photo and video applications alike. The most well-rounded standard zoom to date, this compact and versatile lens provides a convenient 24-70mm full-frame equivalent focal length range for covering wide-angle to portrait-length perspectives. A bright f/2.8 constant aperture allows users to capture images in dim lighting conditions and with a shallow depth of field, and a unique Nano Crystal Coating further reduces less flare and ghosting when shooting under strong light sources. The lens features a POWER Optical Image Stabilizer to minimize the appearance of camera shake, and this O.I.S. system is also compatible with Dual I.S. for enhanced stabilization performance during handheld shooting.

How many stops of stabilization does this have on a camera without IBIS?
Asked by: Zak
Although Panasonic does not state a specific number of stops the stabilization provides in the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-35mm f/2.8 lens, it is safe to say it will be about 2-3 stops. But also when using a wider angle lens camera shake blur is less noticeable as compared to a telephoto lens. Plus by having an f2.8 aperture the lens can achieve faster shutter speeds which also help reduce the risk of camera shake blur.

Is the zoom ring linear or does it accelerate when used with a GH6? I have a pair of Panasonic Leica lenses with sliding zooms.
Asked by: Russell
Hi, Russell! The H-ES12035 lens has a non-linear focus ring. The focus ring on this lens tends to accelerate, offering different levels of resistance depending on how quickly you turn it. -M

Hello, Emmanuel! Thank you for your question. The zoom control has to be done manually by physically turning the zoom ring on the lens. We would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of that accessory for compatibility. -C
