Aruba JL818A Overview

With a ruggedized IP30 rated design that can withstand between -40 to 158°F temperatures, the Aruba 4100i 24-port Managed Network Switch is an ideal solution for connecting access points, security cameras, and other devices in harsh environments. Twenty-four Gigabit Ethernet ports are available, four of which can provide up to 60W of power to PoE++ compatible devices while the other 20 ports support up to 30W, with a total power budget of 240W. Four SFP+ slots are also available for 10Gb fiber connections.

This fully managed Layer 2 switch is designed to deliver fast, reliable data transfers with a 128 Gb/s switching capacity and 95 Mpps forwarding rate. Its fanless design allows it to operate silently in the background. A 2-post rackmount kit is included. Use the Aruba AOS-CX operating system to manage your devices. No switch software licenses or subscriptions are required.

AOS-CX
The Aruba CX 4100i Switch Series is based on AOS-CX, a database-driven operating system that is built on a modular Linux architecture. This operating system provides easy access to all network configuration state information, REST APIs for fine-grained programmability of network tasks, and a micro-services architecture that enables full integration with other workflow systems and services. All software processes communicate with the database rather than each other, ensuring near real-time state and resiliency
Aruba ASICs
Aruba's ASICs creates the basis for software feature advancements, performance, and deep visibility. These programmable ASICs are purpose-built to allow for a tighter integration of switch hardware and software within campus and data center architectures to optimize performance and capacity.
Aruba Central
Aruba Central provides flexible cloud-based or on-premises management for unified network operations of wired, WLAN, SD-WAN, and public cloud infrastructure. It is designed to simplify day zero through day two operations with streamlined workflows. Switch management capabilities include configuration, onboarding, monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting.
Aruba NetEdit
The Aruba CX portfolio empowers IT teams to orchestrate multiple switch configuration changes for smooth end-to-end service rollouts. Aruba NetEdit introduces automation that allows for rapid network-wide changes and ensures policy conformance post network updates. Intelligent capabilities include search, edit, validation (including conformance checking), deployment and audit features.
Note:
A separate software license is required to use Aruba NetEdit.
Aruba Dynamic Segmentation
The Aruba Dynamic Segmentation solution enables seamless mobility, consistent policy enforcement, and automated configurations for wired and wireless clients across networks. This innovation begins with colorless ports and rolebased micro-segmentation technologies. Colorless ports allows wired clients to connect to any switch port, with the configuration automated using Radius-Based Access Control. This eliminates the need for manual on-boarding of clients, including IoT devices, onto the network.
