Moreover, the T7 Shield offers users quick performance and little downtime with read and write speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s and 1,000 MB/s respectively. Its USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port provides wide compatibility.
Fast Performance, Strong Security
The T7 Shield delivers a max read speed of 1,050 MB/s and a max write speed of 1,000 MB/s through its USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port. It is approximately twice as fast as its predecessor, the T5, and up to 9.5 times faster than a traditional external hard disk drive. The T7 Shield supports 256-bit AES hardware encryption to keep the data safe and secure, even if the T7 Shield is lost. Plus, it provides access to Samsung's Magician Software, which lets users conveniently manage the drive.
IP65-Rated Durability
Carefully engineered by Samsung from the inside out, the T7 Shield is shock-resistant from drops of up to 9.8 feet. It also has an IP65 rating, providing dust and water resistance. The high-tech rubber exterior with Dynamic Thermal Guard controls heat to maintain steady performance even for large projects. The stylish rubberized grip prevents slips. Even though it has a rugged design, the T7 Shield is still compact and lightweight, weighing just 3.5 ounces.
Wide Compatibility
Store pictures, games, as well as 4K and 8K video on the T7 Shield. The USB Type-C port on the T7 Shield allows it to be compatible with a wide variety of devices. You can use the T7 Shield to connect to a Windows computer or a Mac. If you have an Android device, you can also use the T7 Shield to back up your photos and videos. Game consoles can also utilize the T7 Shield for expanded storage.

Do adhesive labels and/or gaffer tape stick to this rubber?
Asked by: William
Nope. I just tried to stick gaff tape on two different T7 shields. Because of the silicone cover and curved grooves, the tape barely sticks and would not last long. Best I could do was wrap the tape all the way around the drive until the tape sticks to itself. Not sure why they answered yes if they didn't try it.
