Play online multiplayer games via the reliable, wired 2.5 GbE LAN connection or go wireless with Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax). Great Gaming Laptop

Anyone looking to purchase a gaming laptop, is obviously already aware of the specs on this machine, and the incredible power of the 4090 graphics card, so I won't go into the obvious, that this is an incredible machine for gaming. I've had the laptop for a few days now, and used it pretty extensively during that time. Everything seems to work together flawlessly, no issues, no hangups, no driver issues, the memory and hard drive with the system are perfect components for size and speed, and there's no need to do any immediate upgrades, which is often the case when I've purchased Alienware systems. if anything changes I will update this review, but first impressions are that this is an excellent purchase if you're looking to use it for modern games, with the components ideal for future gaming. We all know how technology and computing often means constant changing of components, these components are already top-of-the-line, and should last for many many years with no need to change or upgrade to a new system. On the B&H side, I was mildly disappointed in their shipping packaging. For a system that cost over $5000, and is delicate, they simply put the MSI box inside another box with some padding on only the bottom side of the laptop. The package arrived with the outside box damaged, which ended up transferring to the actual MSI box which was also crushed a little, since there was no protection between the two boxes. I haven't noticed any physical damage to laptop, but not sure if the internal components may have been damaged at all due to the external forces from shipping.

Fast and Cool, Not as Loud as I expected

If you are in need of a high-end desktop replacement laptop, this mostly fits the bill. Maxed out memory allows for all the tabs to be open with multiple Adobe products running with no issues. Processor seems to handle tasks fast enough compared to a 2019 6-core hyperthreading Xeon chip. 4k gaming works great on high/ultra for most things at 60fps. Video out via hdmi 2.1, mini-display port, or either of the TB4 usb-c ports works as expected most of the time (random blackouts while connected to external monitor via TB4, need to reconnect cable to get video back). I was having some software conflicts with the Nahamic Audio bloatware (no longer installed) to the point where I couldn't get sound out of the headphone jack. Things work well enough now that I have reinstalled Win11pro with much of the pre-installed bloat blocked and disabled (how many screen capture softwares does one machine need, anyway?). Note that you'll want to have the Intel VMD RAID driver handy on your install media if you're keeping the RAID setup (to load the driver during drive format/ OS install as well as have your network drivers downloaded. I'll most likely ditch the RAID setup once a PCIE 5.0 NVME m2 ssd actually hits the market (the board has 1 PCIE 5.0 m2 slot, and 2 PCIE 4.0 m2 slots). TLDR - For the price, I would have liked to not be beta testing newly released software/hardware, but unfortunately that is the case with every computer from every company these days. But, this was the best choice for cooling hardware and having 1 more m2 slot than most of the competition (3 slots instead of 2).
