Built for all types of creatives, including photographers, filmmakers, 3D artists, music producers, developers, and more, the silver Apple 14" MacBook Pro is the ultimate pro mobile workstation for the ultimate user.

The system features the Apple M2 Pro 12-Core Chip, which provides the power and performance needed to handle your professional workflows. The 14.2" Liquid Retina XDR display features a 3024 x 1964 resolution, 1000 cd/m² of sustained brightness, 1600 cd/m² of peak brightness, P3 color gamut support, and more. With up 16GB of unified RAM and 1TB of SSD storage, you'll be able to load massive files and launch apps quickly, enabling you to work with photo and video libraries from almost anywhere.

Designed for All Types of Creatives
Apple M2 Pro
Packed with 40 billion transistors, which is nearly 20% more than the M1 Pro and double the amount in the M2, the Apple M2 Pro integrates the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O, and more into a single system on a chip (SoC). Built with 2nd-Gen 5nm process technology, the Apple M2 Pro delivers the performance you need without sacrificing power efficiency. The 12-Core CPU features eight performance cores and four high-efficiency cores. The 16-Core Neural Engine provides support for on-device machine learning acceleration and improved camera performance. The M2 Pro offers up to 200 GB/s of memory bandwidth as well as support for up to 32GB of unified memory. The efficient architecture of M2 Pro means they deliver the same level of performance whether MacBook Pro is plugged in or using the battery. With up to a 19-Core GPU, the M2 Pro delivers up to 20% faster CPU performance than the M1 Pro. The M2 Pro can support up to two external displays. M2 Pro has a powerful and efficient media engine, including hardware-accelerated H.264, HEVC, and ProRes video encode and decode, allowing playback of multiple streams of 4K and 8K ProRes video while using very little power.
14.2" Liquid Retina XDR Display
Featuring mini-LED technology, this MacBook Pro houses a 14.2" Liquid Retina XDR display. Delivering up to 1000 cd/m² of sustained, full-screen brightness, a high 1600 cd/m² of peak brightness, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and a billion colors, the Liquid Retina XDR display can handle the extreme dynamic range of HDR content, providing detailed shadows, brilliant specular highlights, deeper blacks, and vivid colors. The display is less than 4mm thin, which is achieved by having seven films and diffusers that mix and shape the light efficiently. The oxide thin film transistor (TFT) allows pixels to charge twice as fast as before.
ProMotion, up to 120 Hz Refresh Rate
With ProMotion technology, the MacBook Pro automatically varies the refresh rate to match the motion of your onscreen content. This helps preserve battery life while also making tasks feel more fluid and responsive. This means that the display can have up to a 120 Hz refresh rate. Video editors will also have the option to lock in a refresh rate that is optimal for their footage.
P3 Wide Color Gamut
The narrow-band LED-powered backlight allows the MacBook Pro to represent the P3 wide color gamut for brilliant, true-to-life color in photos and videos.
Storage, Bring Your Whole Studio with You
The MacBook Pro can be configured with up to 8TB of SSD storage so you can take your photo or video libraries with you no matter where you're headed. And with superfast speeds, massive files load in an instant and pro apps launch in a blink. This particular model comes with a 1TB SSD.
Connectivity
Wi-Fi 6E
The MacBook Pro now features Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) for faster wireless connectivity.
Thunderbolt 4
Thunderbolt 4 combines ultrahigh bandwidth with the versatility of the USB Type-C industry standard to create one revved-up universal port. It integrates data transfer, charging, and video output in a single connector, delivering up to 40 Gb/s of throughput for twice the bandwidth of Thunderbolt 2. The MacBook Pro is equipped with three ports, so you can do all of that from either side. Existing devices are easily connected with a cable or adapter. And Thunderbolt 4 is reversible, so no matter how you plug in, it's always right side up.
Display Support
Simultaneously supports the full native resolution on the built-in display at 1 billion colors and one of the following:

  • Up to two external displays with up to 6K resolution at 60 Hz over Thunderbolt, or one external display with up to 6K resolution at 60 Hz over Thunderbolt and one external display with up to 4K resolution at 144 Hz over HDMI

  • Up to one external display supported at 8K resolution at 60 Hz or one external display at 4K resolution at 240 Hz over HDMI
  • Advanced HDMI
The HDMI output now supports 8K displays at 60 Hz and 4K displays at 240 Hz.
    MagSafe 3
MagSafe 3 makes connecting a power cable quick and easy while also protecting your MacBook Pro. Apple also brings fast charging to the MacBook Pro, allowing you to charge up to 50% in just 30 minutes.
    High-Fidelity Audio
Spatial Sound Speakers and Better Mics
The MacBook Pro features a high-fidelity, six-speaker sound system, which has two tweeters for a clearer soundstage as well as four force-cancelling woofers, resulting in 80% more bass. The sound system also supports spatial audio, providing a three-dimensional audio experience, whether you're listening to music or watching a movie in Dolby Atmos. Apple also has studio microphones that have a lower noise floor, resulting in clear calls as well as voice recordings.
    FaceTime
Full HD 1080p FaceTime HD Camera
With a Full HD 1080p FaceTime HD camera, the MacBook Pro uses the ISP and Neural Engine in M2 Pro and M2 Max for computational video that enhances video quality.
    System Navigation
    Touch ID
The Touch ID enables fast, easy authentication for secure logins and purchases.
    Keyboard
The Magic Keyboard features a 78-key US layout, including 12 full-height function keys and four arrow keys in an inverted-T arrangement. It is also backlit with an ambient light sensor.
    Force Touch Trackpad
Speed your workflow with Force click and multi-touch gestures.
    Battery and Power
    All-Day Battery Life
From pro workflows to everyday tasks, the MacBook Pro delivers power efficiency while still maintaining performance. The MacBook Pro can deliver up to 18 hours of video playback. The MacBook Pro charges with a 96 USB-C power adapter.

I've been waiting to upgrade my 2015 MBP with a new machine. Unfortunately, my patience for the thing was wearing thin. Watching the spinning beach ball was my most frequent exercise in futuility on the device. That, and having to work plugged in most of the time. Battery life was had decayed to dismal. Along comes B&H and $200 off the latest and greatest - 2023 14 MBP with the M2 Pro chip, 16GB ram and 512 GB of storage. The difference is literally night and day. Launches quickly, working in a few seconds, blazing fast speed, and battery life -- oh boy the battery life. I've been working all weekend on a single charge, and I'm down to about 78%. I knew I had a big video project coming up, so that also prompted me to upgrade. I can't say enough how well FCPX runs on this machine. Editing was smooth and easy (and no beach balls) and videos render quickly. Photoshop as well -- same thing. No spinning beach balls! If I have one regret, is that I didn't order more storage. With only 512GB storage, rendering space ran out quickly working on that video. My hard drive literally filled up and I got a warning from FCPX. I'm going to store my libraries on an external drive so that doesn't happen again. (I just refuse to pay Apple's outrageous prices for storage). B&H shipped the same day, but because I ordered on a Thursday, there was a delay in shipping while they honor the sabbath on Saturday. I recommend you order online Sunday or Monday to get it within a day or two. I highly recommend upgrading so you don't have to spend your life watching spinning beach balls. I

MacBook Pro 14 works great, no issues. My only concern would be the box slightly dented on the edges of the apple packaging. Otherwise no complaints

    All-in-one Package; Steep Cost

I'd used my previous Intel MacBook for a bit, and while it did its work pretty well, heat management and battery life we're the primary challenges for me. I'm going to break down my interactions along the subjects of performance, battery life and display. Performance I didn't have any issues with the performance of my previous machine. Heating up was a common challenge, but for day to day tasks, fans would only momentarily spin up and then quiet down. With larger projects, however, I'd gotten used to the persistent fan noise until the end of the run. On the 14 inch M2 Pro, the difference was evident from the very beginning. I've put this laptop through everything my older one dealt with, plus a bit more, and still haven't found a workflow to make the fans come on. Battery Battery life on this is excellent. I'd hoped for actually full-day battery life, but I guess that's dependent on your workflow. Definitely get at least 10 hours out of it regardless. Display ProMotion is alright on the MacBook. I didn't actually notice it until I went back to my previous one without ProMotion, at which point the difference was immediately clear. The display itself isn't, to me, significantly better than the previous Retina displays. The notch, however, turns out to be much better for full screen apps, leaving out the previously interruptive animation for viewing the title bar. Overall, while the cost is pretty steep on this computer, I have just about no complaints thus far.

    90% perfect

Exactly what it says it is and it manages all my writing and editing work perfectly, runs very well and is quite and cool. But it has two quirks that are less-than perfect: the HDMI port is very finicky and slightly shallower than normal, so the connection is a little unstable and will disconnect from the remote monitor if there's any movement of the laptop. the other, related quirk, is that when the screen goes into suspension after inactivity, the remote screen is lost and often doesn't come back online without being reconnected or restarted. I've checked with several different monitors the same issue occurs with them all, so... it's the laptop. But when not using the remote monitor, the laptop is a DREAM!

Found it a lot Cheaper at Costco

Love B&H and my new MacBook Pro. Great service and prompt shipment. But, after I purchased I found the same MacBook Pro at Costco for about $400 cheaper. I understand that B&H might price match if you ask in advance but not after the fact. So, my error and their gain. Pays to shop around even if you're a fan of a particular store.

My first apple and so far I like it, just ordered the ps/lr. Undeliverable and can’t wait to use it.
