Is glxd1+ transmitter compatible with glxd4 receiver?
No, the Shure GLXD1+ Dual-Band Wireless Bodypack Transmitter (Z3: 2.4, 5.8 GHz) is not compatible for use with the Shure GLXD4 Digital Wireless Receiver (2.4 GHz) - B&H # SHGLXD4Z2, which operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency band only. Shure's single-band GLX-D series was discontinued and replaced by the updated dual-band GLX-D+ series. Unfortunately, the GLX-D+ components are not backwards compatible, so the GLXD1+ Transmitter cannot be used with the GLXD4 Receiver. The GLXD1+ Transmitter is intended for use with the Shure GLXD4+ Dual-Band Wireless Tabletop Receiver (Z3: 2.4, 5.8 GHz) - B&H # SHGLXD4Z3 and the Shure GLXD4R+ Dual-Band Wireless Rack Receiver (Z3: 2.4, 5.8 GHz) - B&H # SHGLXD4RZ3. For a bodypack transmitter to use with the GLXD4, you will need to use the older, discontinued single-band Shure GLXD1 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter (2.4 GHz) - B&H # SHGLXD1Z2 or you can replace the system (transmitter and receiver) with the new components.
