The 8-Channel HDMI Digital RF Encoder Modulator from Thor is a 1 RU unit that outputs the RF signal via a single F-type connector and features eight HDMI inputs for digital video up to 1080p60 and eight RCA baseband video inputs that support analog sources or cameras, as well as closed captioning.
The HDCP compliant RF encoder/modulator offers front panel control with an LCD display to show settings and functions being accessed, but it can also be controlled using MNS (managed network services) via the unit's RJ45 LAN port. It supports MPEG2 video encoding, AAC, and DD AC3 audio encoding, with a low latency of only 50 to 100 ms. The device receives updates via the network when connecting using the RJ45 port.
