Great service, clunky interface
The shipping and interaction with BH was 5 star. The weather station is a 3 star product. This unit replaced an Oregon Scientific from many years ago that is no longer available. The set up is easy. Coordination with the atomic clock is easy. The display is big and easy to read. The backlight only stays on for 3 seconds or so, not enough time to digest the info on the screen. Daylight viewing is no problem. The biggest drawback with the unit is that the control buttons are on the back. Setting it up is awkward and smudges the front screen with fingerprints while setting up and using the alarm. The accuracy is within 2-3 degrees, as confirmed by numerous other thermometers I have that are accurate. The remote sensor does not have a display on it, so when you are outside looking at it, there is no info to read on the sensor. The range of sensor transmission is as stated on the box. There is no barometer readout, only the weather forecast display icons, which imply that barometric readings are being used, but I am not sure.
