Red Giant VFX Suite 1.5 Overview

Create advanced composites, manipulate lighting, and track your visual effects to keep them exactly where you need them in your frame with Red Giant VFX Suite 1.5. This comprehensive collection of visual effects applications features 11 different plug-ins that work inside of Adobe After Effects, with some of these also compatible with Premiere Pro.

Supercomp now supports adjustment layers that apply an effect to anything below them in a "supercomp" timeline, which is ideal for region-based color correction, displacement, and heat blur. Primatte Keyer features Auto Compute Algorithms, which can pull off a perfect key from green or blue screen automatically. Bang has been added with enhancements in both the visual quality and user experience, along with gun wireframe overlays that provide accurate positioning and scale. 

King Pin Tracker provides planar tracking in Adobe After Effects and can track surfaces in changing lighting, even as they leave the frame. Lens Distortion Matcher facilitates undistorting footage from any lens to allow you to add composite elements into your shot, and whether you're using a wide angle lens, GoPro, fisheye, or other spherical glass, Lens Distortion Matcher automatically detects the lens type and adapts to its characteristics.

Using Spot Clone Tracker, you can remove small objects or blemishes from your footage by cloning in pixels from neighboring areas. Remove acne from someone's face, a wall plug socket, or motion tracking dots with ease. Optical Glow offers built-in gamma management that makes your glow always look realistic, whether your footage is video, log, or even linear. Bring glow to a lightsaber, starship engine, police lights, or the neon signs in a futuristic dystopia, with eye-dazzling results.

Chromatic Displacement uses one layer to displace the pixels of another and smoothly separates the colors. The displacement image is used as a height map, which gives you natural-looking, organic results. An upgraded lens simulation engine in Real Lens Flares now adds anamorphic lens support allowing filmmakers to create 3D renders that can be applied to live action footage or motion graphics.

Shadow makes it very easy to add perspective shadows in front of or behind a layer, based on that layer's alpha channel and brightness, and provides control for softness, bend, length, color, and many other properties. Reflection facilitates adding reflections to your layers with controls for softness, length, distance fade, and more, giving you a next-level tool for creating natural and seamlessly integrated reflections.

Context-Aware Effects
Unlike standard After Effects layers and effects, in Supercomp, all layers and effects applied are aware of changes to the other layers in your composite. Adjustments will ripple throughout your composite, altering any pixels that should be affected by those changes. Swap out a background or change the order of your layers and all light wraps, diffusions, haze, etc., will automatically change with it. There's no need to hunt through multiple After Effects comps, layers, and effects.
Supercomp Layers & Presets
Supercomp supports three different layer types: Normal, Additive, and Displacement. Each layer type has its own set of effects and presets. You can also specify the gamma (log, video, and more) of your layer, which makes it easy to combine elements from different sources and cameras. Setting up a complex composite is now as simple as a single click. With Layer Presets, you can apply multiple Supercomp effects at once to get a starting point or even an instant final result. Audition presets with the visual preview, then apply. Tweak a setting or two to taste and save and share your own presets.
Natural Visual Effects
A missing reflection is a sure give away that your composited foreground object wasn't in the original shot. Reflection gives you a fast way to help sell a professional composite.
GPU Optimization
GPU optimization provides more speed, with previews and renders up to 3x faster than in previous versions.
Rock-Solid Tracking
A lightning-fast tracker allows you to easily track your target area on moving footage. The Clone From region can follow along automatically or be positioned and even tracked separately.
Lights & Glows
VFX Optical Glow generates a blazing fast, drop-dead gorgeous, photo-realistic glow effect that is great for use in visual effects and motion graphics. It's easy to use and is of the highest quality. Real Lens Flares simulates real glass and legendary lenses to render beautiful and realistic lens flares, with dozens of presets to match any mood or style.
Tracking & Cleanup
Whether you're pinning a rectangular sign or something not rectangular at all, King Pin Tracker has you covered. Also included is Spot Clone Tracker, a powerful tool for quickly removing anything from skin blemishes to unwanted objects in your shot.
