B&H says installed RAM: 5600 MHz DDR5. Lenovo lists DDR5-5200MHz. Which is correct? I want to upgrade RAM w/right chips.
Asked by: Isaac
Hi Shannon. Thanks for the advice. I tried your solution a couple of times...computer would not restart. Computer recognizes all 64GB of installed RAM, it just defaults to 4000Hz, which leads me to believe the included RAM is not 5600, or the recommended RAM I installed: Crucial 32GB Desktop DDR5 5600 MHz UDIMM Memory Kit is not 5600, or there is a conflict between chips, or motherboard or whatever. Frankly, I'm much to busy to open "her" up to remove RAM to do a conflict search. It runs fast...enough for my use.

Are the m.2 slots PCIe 4.0 or 5.0? I would like to add PCIe 5.0 m.2 ssd card
Asked by: Chaojun
The Lenovo Legion Tower 7i Gaming Desktop Computer uses PCIe gen 4, which is forward compatible with gen 5. You can use a PCIe 5.0 drive in a PCIe 4.0 slot, it will just run at PCIe 4.0 speeds.

Asked by: I
The Lenovo Legion Tower 7i Gaming Desktop Computer has a maximum memory capacity of 64 GB. That means that you could have four 16 GB modules, or two 32 GB modules. The number of memory slots does not change the maximum memory capacity.

Asked by: Blake
Yes, you can upgrade the power supply in the Lenovo Legion Tower 7i Gaming Desktop Computer. You can use a standard ATX form factor power supply; the Corsair RM1000e 1000W 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (Black), B&H # CORM1000EPS, is a good option.

My LEGION came with a 4080 Graphics Card. It has room for one more small card to add USB ports. It was a tight fit, but I did it.

You can upgrade the GPU in the Lenovo Legion Tower 7i Gaming Desktop Computer later on, though keep in mind that this desktop includes an 850W power supply, and a power supply that's at least 1000W is recommended for the RTX 4090.
