The soundbar houses five individual speaker drivers including left, right, and center channels, along with two drivers just for low frequencies. Experience clear dialogue with the dedicated center channel speaker and increased bass response from the dual built-in subwoofers. While it works well on its own, the HT-S2000 can be upgraded to full 5.1 surround sound with Sony's optional external subwoofers and rear speakers.
Immersive Sound
Sony's Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround in the HT-S2000 help make the most of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for realistic, multi-dimensional audio. The HT-S2000 features an X-Balanced Speaker Unit, with a unique design that enhances both power and clarity, enabling the built-in subwoofers and front speakers to produce an immersive sound with minimal distortion. Using front speakers only, Sony’s unique digital sound field processing technology virtually reproduces the surround sound field, with audio coming at you from both sides. Additionally, thanks to Sony’s virtual surround technology, the soundbar can position sound in vertical space, so you can experience three-dimensional audio without the need for in-ceiling or up-firing speakers.
Sony's Upmixer Brings Surround Sound to Stereo Content
With Sony's newly developed upmixer, you can experience three-dimensional surround sound not only with surround sound formatted content, but also with stereo content, like streaming video or music services. Analyzing the track in real time, Sony's new algorithm extracts individual sound objects depending on their localization and reallocates them, giving you three-dimensional surround sound.
Easy Setup and Operation
Simply connect the HT-S2000 to your ARC- or eARC-equipped TV with an HDMI cable, plug it into a wall outlet, and setup is complete. Optionally, the Sony Home Entertainment Connect app offers you easy setup and intuitive operation from your smartphone or tablet. You can also easily operate the soundbar with the supplied simple remote.
Music Playback
Connect your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to stream all your favorite tracks via Bluetooth 5.2. Alternatively, connect a USB drive loaded with WAV files and control playback from the Sony Home Entertainment Connect App. To improve sound from these digital sources, Sony's Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) restores the high-frequency elements lost with music source compression to produce high-quality sound that's closer to the original recording.
