Featuring an internal adjustable lens element group, the Rodenstock HR Digaron Macro 105mm f/5.6 Lens from Cambo produces excellent image quality when shooting subjects less than three feet away at scales from 1:4 to 4:1. The lens' adjustable ring has precision scale ratios marked and available between 1:3 to 3:1. Using a downloadable scale measurement card, the lens can be fine-tuned to achieve high-resolution images with increased contrast and sharpness and minimal chromatic aberration. The lens has an 82mm image circle throughout the entire scale range that accommodates large sensor formats such as 36x56mm and 40x54mm and gives the sensor ample room for tilt and shift movements.
The lens uses adapters with a V groove interface to connect with different camera systems, but does not have an internal leaf shutter, instead using the mechanical focal-plane shutter or electronic shutter of the camera or digital back. The lens also does not have a focusing ring, and adjusting the distance between the focal plane and the sensor requires an interposed bellows, extension ring, or a helical focusing mount, all available separately.
