1) Would this be compatible with taking memory from a "computer for older persons" that runs on Linux? 2) If so, could that data be transferred to a MacBook Air 2019 with Catalina so that the documents might be printed on a good printer?
Asked by: Anne
For Linux and Mac cross compatibility, you would simply need to format the drive into the ExFAT File System on either machine.

is it compatible with imac mojave?
Asked by: Deborah
I have a Mac Pro 2013 Late computer. It has 6 Thunderbolt 2 ports and 4 USB 3.0 ports. I do photography and one file can be nearly 1.8GB. Thus I want an SSD 4TB drive external to store AND work on images with Photoshop. Will this 4TB SSD drive work with my computer? If not, is there one that you suggest? I looked for a Thunderbolt SSD that interfaced to TB 2 but all I found was SSD's for TB 3. Thanks

Is this drive formatted out of the box for a Windows PC? If I use it with a PC to backup photos while traveling, can I then plug it into my Mac at home to copy the photos to my Mac-based home system? Thanks!
Asked by: troy
No, this drive is not pre-formatted. If you would like to use the drive with both Windows and Mac computers then the best format to choose is exFAT, which will be able to work with both operating systems.
