Enabling users to calibrate their monitor's output to their exact specifications, the Calibrite Display Pro HL is the latest in a long line of display calibration tools that have become an indispensable part of any media professional's workflow. Now able to measure up to 3000 nits, it's compatible with a wide range of display technologies, such as OLED and Apple XDR, greatly increasing its accuracy and usability.

I bought this to replace a Datacolor model that is out-of-date and they don't support my new Mac Mini M4. I like this model because if your display supports brightness, contrast and RGB adjustments, it walks you through adjusting your monitor to calibrate it - not just storing the calibration data to make your monitor calibrated. It works well and it fast to use.

What is the difference between the Calibrite Display Pro HL Colorimeter and the Calibrite ColorChecker Display Pro?

The main differences between the Calibrite ColorChecker Display Pro and the new Calibrite Display Pro HL models are the following. The Display Pro HL and Display Plus HL devices are USB-C/TB3/TB4 direct connection for faster data transfer resulting in quicker measurement times and more sampling. HL models accurately measure Mini-LED (like the new Apple XDR displays) and OLED displays to create profiles to their maximum gamut that will meet or exceed P3. Also the High-luminance (HL) capabilities support true HDR. (3000 nits for the Pro HL and 10,000 nits for the Plus HL). The Calibrite ColorChecker Display Pro supports displays with up to 1000nits of brightness. While the Calibrite Display Pro HL is designed to be a drop-in replacement for the ColorChecker Display Pro and X-Rite i1Display Pro colorimeters, you should always double-check with the third party software vendor to see if it is supported in their software. I'd recommend checking with the Asus Technical Support team for confirmation that the Display Pro HL is supported in their software.

No, the Calibrite Display Pro HL Colorimeter would not work by itself with the SmallHD Vision 24. However, the following Black Magic LUT Box will allow you to use the Portrait Displays C6-HDR High-Dynamic-Range Colorimeter would allow you to calibrate your display.
