Built with one dedicated CFexpress Type B card slot and one dedicated UHS-II SDXC card slot, this reader utilizes the 10 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 standard so users are able to quickly download high-quality images and raw 8K video. The CFexpress Type B slot features sequential read speeds up to 1050 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 1000 MB/s, while the SDXC slot delivers sequential reads up to 300 MB/s and sequential write up to 260 MB/s when working with UHS-II media. When working with UHS-I media, sequential reads top out at 170 MB/s. This card reader features a USB-C interface and connects to your host system using either an included USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to USB-A cable.

The Lexar Professional CFexpress Type B/SD USB 3.2 Gen 2 Card Reader is compatible with CFexpress Type B and SD memory cards. It is not compatible with CFexpress Type A memory cards.

How do you know when it is safe to take the card out of the reader after download?

When using the Lexar Professional CFexpress Type B/SD USB 3.2 Gen 2 Card Reader, you will see a notification on your computer when the images are completely downloaded. At that time, you could eject the card and remove the card from the reader.

Is the weight listed correct at 127g? Some people are saying it's heavy, but 127g is half the weight of an iPhone--not heavy.

The Lexar Professional CFexpress Type B/SD USB 3.2 Gen 2 Card Reader is 128g according to Lexar's website. So far only 1 reviewer mentioned it was heavy in comparison to the other readers they have owned.
