No, Canon cameras compatible with LP-E6NH lithium batteries do not get warning mesages when SmallRig LP-E6NH USB-C Rechargeable Camera Batteris are plug in.

Can this act as a dummy battery if the USB-C is plugged into a V-mount battery?

The SmallRig LP-E6NH USB-C Rechargeable Camera Battery cannot be used as a dummy battery. The direct USB cable is only for charging the battery.
