What’s the speed if connected through TB3/TB4 ...
What’s the speed if connected through TB3/TB4 with a Samsung 990 Pro or similar NVME? Is it the same as with USB4?
With the supplied cable in a Thunderbolt/USB4 port on my M1 Pro MacBook Pro, the drive reaches around 3150 read and write with a 4TB 990 Pro drive. With a TB 3 cable from an OWC drive, same speeds. MacOS System Info does quote the connection mode is USB 4 for both cables though...

Does this enclosure allow TRIM Support on MacOS? ...
Does this enclosure allow TRIM Support on MacOS? I know thunderbolt does, but unclear on USB4. Please, Mac specific.
TRIM is supported on macOS for NVME SSD drives. The HYPER HyperDrive USB4 NVMe SSD Enclosure, B&H # HYHDU4NSENC, only works with NVMe SSD drives, so it should support TRIM on macOS, but this is not something Hyper shares in their documentation. When it comes to SATA drives, TRIM is not supported on macOS, regardless of whether the enclosure is USB, Thunderbolt, or USB4.

So, this won't work with a 8tb NVMe drive?
I can confirm that this works PERFECTLY with the WD 8TB BLACK SN850X (BH #WEWDBB9G0080)!
Bought both this and the drive from B&H and only afterward realized the listing of this enclosure states "supports drives up to 4TB", so immediately tested this when they were delivered. The 8TB drive fits this enclosure, and Windows 11 recognized the drive. Cloned the laptop 1TB over to the 8TB drive using this enclosure, and then installed the 8TB drive into the laptop. AAA++++

Yes it does. Used a USB A to USB C cable to attach it to an old 2012 Macbook Pro.

Will this enclosure accommodate an SSD that already has its own heatsink? (e.g. Samsung 4TB 990 Pro with heatsink)
The HYPER HyperDrive USB4 NVMe SSD Enclosure, B&H # HYHDU4NSENC, does not support SSD drives with a heatsink; you would need to use the variant of the Samsung 990 Pro that does not have a heatsink.
