Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD Reviews

Excellent New Lens

Rated 5 out of 5

The new Tamron 35-150 is nearly perfect for an all day, walking around, general purpose lens. It is a hefty piece, but I was walking around with a 70-300 Sony that is not nearly the lens that the Tamron is and it weighs only 7 oz. less. The wide aperture is uniquely adapted to the Pacific Northwest cloudy days, which are numerous. I have used it at 35 and at 150 and the lens is uniformly sharp. No problems with focus either.

Bought it for indoors

We, my wife and I, had an indoor event to shoot at night in low light with no flash allowed. Even though this Tamron has kind of a weird zoom length it worked perfectly for what we needed. Sharpness I would compare to the best Nikon Z lenses, it's a great weapon to have at our disposal.

The Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD Lens (Nikon Z) is a faster lens at f/2-2.8. the 24-200 is f/4-6.3. At this time the Tamron lens is so new there are no real world comparisons.

That is not the question I asked! Can a USB “C” to USB “C” cable be used rather than a USB “C” to USB “A” cable as noted various descriptions of the lens. Maybe I wasn’t clear
