Safely view or photograph the sun and solar eclipses through any camera or optic with a 75-100mm wide lens using this EclipSmart Universal Solar Filter from Celestron. Made with adjustable side panels that secure with a rubber band for a snug fit, the filter meets the ISO 12312-2 safety standard, blocking 99.999% of intense light and all harmful IR and UV radiation—but revealing sunspots and super granules on the solar surface and the corona during an eclipse. Made to fit on the front lenses of telescopes, spotting scopes, or other optics and imaging devices, the Universal Solar Filter can accommodate housings, sunshades, and dew shields with an outside diameter from 75-100mm (3-4"). The filter has a clear aperture of 63.5mm. The filter is not for use with optical viewfinders—do not use it if you aren't sure which kind of viewfinder your camera has. Always make sure this filter is placed directly on the camera lens during imaging, never between the viewfinder and your eye.
