32Bit Float, Timecode, Charging Case, Magnetic Clips and everything else we asked for in an update. RODE is one of the few brands that actually listens to their users and takes action on it. This was a WELL needed upgrade to the Rode Wireless kit and will probably be the last one that I purchase, unless they somehow come up with something even better than this!

Having purchased a Tascam DR-10L years ago and, more recently, a pair of Zoom F2-BT units, I never thought I would have a need for a wireless system. Then I worked on an indy film set that used the RODE Wireless Go II system. The owner made complaints about having to purchase a case, lav mics, accessory storage, etc. He also had issues with signal drop-out when line of sight was obscured. It's a decent compact system with just too many issues for my line of work.
RODE has now addressed all of this!
First of all, 32bit internal recording is a HUGE bump up. If you haven't used it, now is the time. I work with a lot of live performers that don't necessarily understand how to use a microphone properly and end up yelling into it during their performance only to distort the recording. While 32bit float is no substitute for proper recording technique, it has saved some of my audio recently.
I was only able to test the transmission range at 200 ft (it says it can go up to 300 ft, but I didn't feel like standing in the middle of a highway to get extra distance). The system held up the entire distance except for when I intentionally blocked line of site by walking around the corner of my house at ~125 ft and when my body obscured the pack at 200 ft. But that's where the internal recording saves the day.
The RODE Central app seems fairly user friendly. I didn't make too many adjustments, but it was easy enough to do so. And having format the internal storage from a computer is not a big deal to me as I've already had to deal with that with the Zoom F2. But there is little worry of running out of space when it holds up to 40 hours of audio.
To say there is value bundled into this package is an understatement. Seeing as I paid ~$200 for each self-contained recorder I own, this package goes above and beyond. The charging case alone adds so much extra value and has the power to charge the full kit twice. Add in some fairly decent lav mics and some additional accessories you probably don't think about (the color coding bands were an awesome inclusion) and you've got one heck of a kit.
That's not to say there aren't some downsides...a few minor issues I encountered are not worth dropping a raiting point for, but worth noting. First of all, the clips that come with the lav mic are absolutely horrid. You have to loop the cord properly, otherwise it will pop right off the clip. And the wind screen, while effective, just looks bulky. While they sound good enough, unless I need the flat design, or Bubblebee were to develop a mounting solution, I will probably opt for a different mic.
Also, the charge level on the case cannot be monitored. It has four colors on the LED...blue when charging the decices, green for 100% to ~30%, orange for ~30% to ~10%, then red for below ~10%. Hopefully they can add a battery level indicator to RODE Central with a firmware update. I don't see why not as the transmitters and receiver battery levels are displayed when connected.
Overall, well worth the price and I'm extremely happy with mine, especially since I had held off on a wireless system for so long.
Just what I was asking for

I just got mine on 9-5-23. I took them out and charged them. I did a test with a Samsung S23 Ultra. I used an Anker usb C and it worked to communicate with my phone. Great job! I tried the lavaliers and they sounded rich, deep and very nice. I took out my Sanken Cos 11D. The Sanken threaded right into the Rode Transmitter. The Sanken sounded a bit brighter but wow. The Rode did hold up to quality.
I then used my Sony full frame and same results. Sanken a bit louder but the Rode lavaliers held up with sound quality. I then compared the audio files from the Cell phone and Sony. Very similar. I downloaded the 32 bit float files to my PC. Yes, I was able to normalize sections without issue. Having a dedicated on/off for on the receiver to record is very nice. NO more having to go through tons of files to find the right one.
I used a regular Anker usb c to communicate to my computer without any issues. Nice to be able to have access to the files righ away.
I am very impressed with the package. It has everything ready to go for nice audio. I really am impressed with these Rode lavaliers. I have a Sennheiser G3 system that is a pain to set up for quick interviews etc. I would use these on a paying gig for coverage of events or interview commercials. Easy, quick and deliver on the quality. The magnets really do work and easy to put on someone instead of micing the up.
My one issue is the plastic lavalier holders that I know will not last. This is going to be one of the best sellers for Rode. This will do to Rode what the Sony A7III did for Sony.
The rode 32 bit float is real. I manipulated it and it is comparable to the Zoom F3.
If you are on the fence about these. Do it. I have the Rode Wireless Go II that will go on CL this weekend. It is worth the upgrade just for the charging case. We now have the ability to plug in the charging case to download files.
Rode: you did it.

Ordered two sets of these wireless mics, One the two sets had a bad charging case. The charging status LED on the case slowly flashed white, only. No red or green LED color status. This white LED state is not even listed in the unser manual.
Much needed upgrade

I had the first gen and these blow them out of the water. I finally have the functions I need out of a wireless system.
