Engineered for serious content creators looking for easy-to-use, broadcast-quality wireless audio, the Rode Wireless PRO provides a powerful feature set that ensures reliable performance while keeping your on-set workflow moving quickly and efficiently. The system allows you to record two on-camera personalities at the same time to your camera, smartphone, or computer and provides two clip-on transmitters with built-in microphones, 32-bit float back-up recording, timecode support, and two lavalier mics, along with a dual-channel receiver and a host of accessories to seamlessly integrate with your camera, laptop, or mobile device.
Two Transmitters with Built-In Mics, Lavaliers, and 32-Bit Float Recording
  • Each of the compact transmitters clips quickly and easily to talent and features a built-in microphone with a forgiving omnidirectional pickup pattern that makes it easy to place on talent and get great sound.
  • For a more discreet look, two lavalier mics are included; these plug securely into the locking 3.5mm jacks on the transmitters—which can be clipped to belts or hidden in pockets.
  • Intelligent GainAssist technology automatically sets input levels for you, saving you time and worry on set.
  • Each transmitter features 32GB of internal storage, allowing you to record up to 40 hours of uncompressed back-up recordings while simultaneously transmitting to the receiver.
  • The transmitters feature 32-bit float recording to maximize the dynamic range, prevent digital clipping, and ensure noise-free normalizing, even on very quiet recordings.
  • Advanced timecode capabilities offer quick-and-easy audio/video sync in postproduction.
  • The lavaliers feature foam windscreens, and furry windscreens are provided for the lavs and transmitter mics for outdoor shooting.
A Dual-Channel Receiver for Your Phone, Camera, or Computer
  • The compact and lightweight dual-channel receiver attaches to your camera or mobile device and allows you to record the incoming transmitters' signals to your device's audio tracks.
  • Its bright, high-contrast display shows battery status for the receiver and transmitters, audio level, signal strength, and more.
  • Rode's Series IV technology provides reliable, crystal-clear wireless transmission at a range up to 853' and features 128-bit encryption for security.
  • A comprehensive cable set is included, allowing you to record to devices with 3.5mm, USB-C, and Lightning connectors.
  • Monitor your audio in the field with the Wireless PRO’s high-power headphone output, complete with onboard level control, or connect a headset or narrator microphone such as a lavalier to capture a third audio track.
Versatile Powering Options to Maximize Shooting Time
  • Internal lithium-ion polymer batteries in the transmitters and receiver offer up to seven hours of battery life to handle long shoots.
  • The included smart charging case will completely recharge both transmitters and the receiver two times.
  • Easily recharge over lunch and dinner breaks—go from empty to a full charge in just 2.5 hours.
  • USB Type-C ports provide for battery recharging, powering via external USB battery packs (available separately), and firmware updates.
  • The case also allows for ultra-fast data transfer, so you can quickly export recordings on the move.
  • Plug-in power detection delivers extended battery life.
Professional Features for Serious Content Creators
  • Designed with stunning simplicity and efficiency in mind, the Rode Wireless PRO offers instantaneous functionality out of the box for your next news shoot, video project, or interview. Power up, let the receiver and transmitters automatically pair, then Go PRO.
  • Precisely match your mic to your camera with flexible gain controls and tailored presets. Add an extra layer of protection with the safety channel.
  • Check your audio levels at a glance with the bright LCD display and configure settings on the fly with dedicated controls for everything from gain adjustment to triggering recordings. Customize the system to your needs anywhere using your computer or smartphone with the RØDE Central app. The Wireless PRO gives you complete control over your setup, so you can be ready for any recording situation.
Timecode Support for Fast and Easy Audio and Video Sync
  • Timecode is a media synchronization system that is designed to perfectly synchronize all your audio and video recordings. Not only does timecode save you time in the editing process, especially when working on shoots using multiple cameras and audio recorders, but it also becomes a single source of truth for referencing specific scenes, moments, or timestamps within your project.
  • Timecode essentially works by labelling every clip with the exact time it starts. These timings are frame-accurate, which means clips can be perfectly aligned down to a fraction of a second, even if your devices started or stopped recording at different times.
  • The Wireless PRO receiver acts as the 'Source' in a timecode setup, meaning that timecode is generated by the Wireless PRO and is received by other ‘Sync’ devices, such as cameras and audio recorders.
  • The Wireless PRO outputs timecode information as an audio signal. If your camera accepts timecode, it will record this data into your video files directly, but if it doesn’t then you can still record this audio timecode signal into your camera’s mic or aux input just like you would a microphone—this audio is then later recognized as timecode in your editing software.
  • The Wireless Pro receiver will automatically send timecode to the transmitters, so the recordings on your transmitters will have timecode baked into them and be perfectly synchronized, but you need to record the timecode onto your camera(s), so that your video files also have this sync information.

The LAST Mic Kit You’ll Buy

32Bit Float, Timecode, Charging Case, Magnetic Clips and everything else we asked for in an update. RODE is one of the few brands that actually listens to their users and takes action on it. This was a WELL needed upgrade to the Rode Wireless kit and will probably be the last one that I purchase, unless they somehow come up with something even better than this!

Having purchased a Tascam DR-10L years ago and, more recently, a pair of Zoom F2-BT units, I never thought I would have a need for a wireless system. Then I worked on an indy film set that used the RODE Wireless Go II system. The owner made complaints about having to purchase a case, lav mics, accessory storage, etc. He also had issues with signal drop-out when line of sight was obscured. It's a decent compact system with just too many issues for my line of work. RODE has now addressed all of this! First of all, 32bit internal recording is a HUGE bump up. If you haven't used it, now is the time. I work with a lot of live performers that don't necessarily understand how to use a microphone properly and end up yelling into it during their performance only to distort the recording. While 32bit float is no substitute for proper recording technique, it has saved some of my audio recently. I was only able to test the transmission range at 200 ft (it says it can go up to 300 ft, but I didn't feel like standing in the middle of a highway to get extra distance). The system held up the entire distance except for when I intentionally blocked line of site by walking around the corner of my house at ~125 ft and when my body obscured the pack at 200 ft. But that's where the internal recording saves the day. The RODE Central app seems fairly user friendly. I didn't make too many adjustments, but it was easy enough to do so. And having format the internal storage from a computer is not a big deal to me as I've already had to deal with that with the Zoom F2. But there is little worry of running out of space when it holds up to 40 hours of audio. To say there is value bundled into this package is an understatement. Seeing as I paid ~$200 for each self-contained recorder I own, this package goes above and beyond. The charging case alone adds so much extra value and has the power to charge the full kit twice. Add in some fairly decent lav mics and some additional accessories you probably don't think about (the color coding bands were an awesome inclusion) and you've got one heck of a kit. That's not to say there aren't some downsides...a few minor issues I encountered are not worth dropping a raiting point for, but worth noting. First of all, the clips that come with the lav mic are absolutely horrid. You have to loop the cord properly, otherwise it will pop right off the clip. And the wind screen, while effective, just looks bulky. While they sound good enough, unless I need the flat design, or Bubblebee were to develop a mounting solution, I will probably opt for a different mic. Also, the charge level on the case cannot be monitored. It has four colors on the LED...blue when charging the decices, green for 100% to ~30%, orange for ~30% to ~10%, then red for below ~10%. Hopefully they can add a battery level indicator to RODE Central with a firmware update. I don't see why not as the transmitters and receiver battery levels are displayed when connected. Overall, well worth the price and I'm extremely happy with mine, especially since I had held off on a wireless system for so long.

Just what I was asking for

I just got mine on 9-5-23. I took them out and charged them. I did a test with a Samsung S23 Ultra. I used an Anker usb C and it worked to communicate with my phone. Great job! I tried the lavaliers and they sounded rich, deep and very nice. I took out my Sanken Cos 11D. The Sanken threaded right into the Rode Transmitter. The Sanken sounded a bit brighter but wow. The Rode did hold up to quality. I then used my Sony full frame and same results. Sanken a bit louder but the Rode lavaliers held up with sound quality. I then compared the audio files from the Cell phone and Sony. Very similar. I downloaded the 32 bit float files to my PC. Yes, I was able to normalize sections without issue. Having a dedicated on/off for on the receiver to record is very nice. NO more having to go through tons of files to find the right one. I used a regular Anker usb c to communicate to my computer without any issues. Nice to be able to have access to the files righ away. I am very impressed with the package. It has everything ready to go for nice audio. I really am impressed with these Rode lavaliers. I have a Sennheiser G3 system that is a pain to set up for quick interviews etc. I would use these on a paying gig for coverage of events or interview commercials. Easy, quick and deliver on the quality. The magnets really do work and easy to put on someone instead of micing the up. My one issue is the plastic lavalier holders that I know will not last. This is going to be one of the best sellers for Rode. This will do to Rode what the Sony A7III did for Sony. The rode 32 bit float is real. I manipulated it and it is comparable to the Zoom F3. If you are on the fence about these. Do it. I have the Rode Wireless Go II that will go on CL this weekend. It is worth the upgrade just for the charging case. We now have the ability to plug in the charging case to download files. Rode: you did it.

Ordered two sets of these wireless mics, One the two sets had a bad charging case. The charging status LED on the case slowly flashed white, only. No red or green LED color status. This white LED state is not even listed in the unser manual.

Much needed upgrade

No. The receiver for the RODE Wireless PRO Wireless Microphone System outputs timecode information as an audio signal. Since your camera accepts timecode, it will record this data into your video files directly, and it will be recognized as timecode in your editing software.
