Designed with selfies and social media in mind, the SOFORT 2 features a second release button on the front of the camera next to its built-in flash. The camera's wide-angle lens provides a 28mm full frame equivalency that's useful for group photos as well as landscapes. With the Leica FOTOS app, you can seamlessly transfer the photos you capture to your smartphone for sharing. Additionally, you can select photos in your Leica gallery that weren't taken on your SOFORT 2 and print them using the camera.

Leica doesn't mention what's the largest memory card it can support but a 1GB microSD-memory card will hold around 850 photos so a 16 GB micro SD will be sufficient.

The Leica SOFORT 2 Instant Camera does not automatically print out images. One is able to review images and select the ones one wants to print. However, it does not need to be a printed image in order to transfer it with the Leica FOTOS App.
