Designed for All Types of Creatives
Apple M3 Max 16-Core
Packed with 92 billion transistors, the Apple M3 Max integrates the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O, and more into a single system on a chip (SoC). Now built with 3nm process technology, the Apple M3 Pro delivers the performance you need without sacrificing power efficiency. The 16-Core CPU features twelve performance cores and four efficiency cores. The enhanced 16-Core Neural Engine accelerates powerful machine learning models, making AI/ML workflows even faster while keeping data on device to preserve privacy. The M3 Max offers support for up to 128GB of unified memory, unlocking workflows previously not available on a laptop, such as AI developers working with even larger transformer models with billions of parameters.

With a 40-Core GPU, the M3 Max features Dynamic Caching, which allocates the use of local memory in hardware in real time. Dynamic Caching only uses the exact amount of memory needed is used for each task, which dramatically increases the average utilization of the GPU, resulting in significant performance increases for the most demanding pro apps and games. Hardware-accelerated ray tracing has arrived for the Mac. Ray tracing models the properties of light as it interacts with a scene, allowing apps to create extremely realistic and physically accurate images. Additionally, the improved GPU brings hardware-accelerated mesh shading to the Mac, delivering greater capability and efficiency to geometry processing, and enabling more visually complex scenes in games and graphics-intensive apps. The M3 Max features two video encode engines, two ProRes engines, and AV1 decode.
16.2" Liquid Retina XDR Display
Featuring mini-LED technology, this MacBook Pro houses a 16.2" Liquid Retina XDR display. Delivering up to 1000 cd/m² of sustained, full-screen brightness, a high 1600 cd/m² of peak brightness, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and a billion colors, the Liquid Retina XDR display can handle the extreme dynamic range of HDR content, providing detailed shadows, brilliant specular highlights, deeper blacks, and vivid colors. The display is less than 4mm thin, which is achieved by having seven films and diffusers that mix and shape the light efficiently.
ProMotion, up to 120 Hz Refresh Rate
With ProMotion technology, the MacBook Pro automatically varies the refresh rate to match the motion of your onscreen content. This helps preserve battery life while also making tasks feel more fluid and responsive. This means that the display can have up to a 120 Hz refresh rate. Video editors will also have the option to lock in a refresh rate that is optimal for their footage.
P3 Wide Color Gamut
The narrow-band LED-powered backlight allows the MacBook Pro to represent the P3 wide color gamut for brilliant, true-to-life color in photos and videos.
Storage, Bring Your Whole Studio with You
The MacBook Pro has 2TB of SSD storage so you can take your photo or video libraries with you no matter where you're headed. And with superfast speeds, massive files load in an instant and pro apps launch in a blink.
Connectivity
Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax)
The MacBook Pro features Wi-Fi 6E for fast wireless connectivity.
Thunderbolt 4
Thunderbolt 4 combines ultrahigh bandwidth with the versatility of the USB-C industry standard to create one revved-up universal port. It integrates data transfer, charging, and video output in a single connector, delivering up to 40 Gb/s of throughput for twice the bandwidth of Thunderbolt 2. Existing devices are easily connected with a cable or adapter. And Thunderbolt 4 is reversible, so no matter how you plug in, it's always right side up.
Display Support
Simultaneously supports the full native resolution on the built-in display at 1 billion colors and:

  • Up to four external displays: Up to three external displays with 6K resolution at 60Hz over Thunderbolt and one external display with up to 4K resolution at 144Hz over HDMI.

  • Up to three external displays: Up to two external displays with 6K resolution at 60Hz over Thunderbolt and one external display with up to 8K resolution at 60Hz or one external display with 4K resolution at 240Hz over HDMI.
  • Advanced HDMI
The HDMI output supports 8K displays at 60 Hz and 4K displays at 240 Hz.
    MagSafe 3
MagSafe 3 makes connecting a power cable quick and easy while also protecting your MacBook Pro. Apple also brings fast charging to the MacBook Pro, allowing you to charge up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.
    High-Fidelity Audio
Spatial Sound Speakers and Studio-Quality Mics
The MacBook Pro features a high-fidelity, six-speaker sound system, which has two tweeters for a clearer soundstage as well as four force-cancelling woofers. The sound system also supports spatial audio, providing a three-dimensional audio experience, whether you're listening to music or watching a movie in Dolby Atmos. Apple also has studio microphones that have a lower noise floor, resulting in clear calls as well as voice recordings.
    FaceTime
Full HD 1080p FaceTime HD Camera
With a Full HD 1080p FaceTime HD camera, the MacBook Pro uses the ISP and Neural Engine in M3 Pro and M3 Max for computational video that enhances video quality.
    System Navigation
    Touch ID
The Touch ID enables fast, easy authentication for secure logins and purchases.
    Keyboard
The Magic Keyboard features a 78-key US layout, including 12 full-height function keys and four arrow keys in an inverted-T arrangement. It is also backlit with an ambient light sensor.

Can you game properly with the highest specs turned on in the game League of Legends without the computer overheating?
    Asked by: Dan
The Apple 16" MacBook Pro (M3 Max, Space Black) is not designed to play the highest end AAA games. That being said, League of Legends should be no problem for the GPU cores on any MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro also has active cooling to prevent it from overheating under stressful workloads.

Does the Space Black color show fingerprints? I have a Midnight Macbook Air and it shows everything that touches it.
    Asked by: Michael
While the Space Black color can still show fingerprints, it isn't as pronounced as on the Midnight color on the MacBook Air. Lighting will also affect how the fingerprints are perceive, everyone has a different level of tolerance. The best option would be to visit a store and compare the colors in person before making a purchase.
