The Atlas Mercury 95mm T2.2 has completely exceeded my expectations. As a filmmaker, I was looking for an anamorphic lens that delivers a distinct cinematic character without compromising sharpness or color fidelity—and this lens nailed it.
The 1.5x squeeze ratio strikes the perfect balance for both 16:9 and wider formats, giving footage a rich, organic anamorphic look with beautiful horizontal flares and subtle oval bokeh. The T2.2 aperture performs excellently in low light and produces stunning depth of field.
Mechanically, the lens feels rock solid with smooth focus and aperture rings. It integrates flawlessly with my PL-mount setup and maintains consistent performance throughout production.
If you’re serious about achieving a high-end film aesthetic, the Mercury 95mm is worth every penny. It’s not just a lens—it’s a visual storytelling tool.
