Godox Lux Cadet Overview

Perfect for those who want to add vintage flair to their contemporary photo setup, the GODOX Lux Cadet Retro Style Flash is a camera-mountable light source that delivers seven stops of flash power. Its design, inspired by flash units of yore, features a retractable, petaled reflector and a simple dial that correlates ISO with apertures, power levels, and shooting distances. The flash also has an auto mode that defaults to f/2.8 at ISO 100.

Control features include an Optical Mode that offers S1 and S2 settings as well as a 2.5mm sync port for external operation with the included triggering cable. The unit runs on its built-in rechargeable battery, which is rated for approximately 620 full-power flashes. The unit also comes with a USB-C charging cable and a storage bag.

Yes, the Godox Lux Cadet Retro Camera Flash is compatible with Canon cameras that have a hotshoe with a center pin. Please be aware that this is a manual flash and does not feature TTL.

The Godox Lux Cadet Retro Camera Flash is not compatible with the Leica IIIF, which has only a cold shoe (not hot shoe) and would require a PC cord between the flash and the camera. The Godox Lux Cadet Retro Camera Flash only has a 2.5mm external flash connection, not a PC terminal.

Yes, the Godox Lux Cadet Retro Camera Flash will work on any camera that has a PC port on the camera body or lens the included 2.5mm (about 0.1 in) to PC Sync Triggering Cable is all that is needed to make the flash work with any PC capable camera.
