How does the G9 II compare to the OM-1 II? I ...

How does the G9 II compare to the OM-1 II? I primarily do bird photography. I want the best subject detection and auto focus.
Asked by: Orderly
Compared to the OM-1 II, the Panasonic Lumix G9 II Mirrorless Camera has a higher resolution sensor with better dynamic range and video features. However, the OM-1II has a more advanced autofocus and subject detection system as well as faster burst shooting speeds due to its faster readout speed. For bird and wildlife photography, the OM-1 II could be more ideal.

Can the camera record 4k all-intra 4:2:2 60p ...

Can the camera record 4k all-intra 4:2:2 60p 600mbps video internally, or is an ssd required?
Asked by: Mark
Hi, Mark! Lumix DC-G9M2 supports recording at 4k resolution, 60 frames per second with 4:2:2 chroma subsampling and 10-bit color depth. In the manual, it is mentioned as [4K/60p/422/10-I(H)] and [4K/60p/422/10-I(H)]. The recording frame rate for both is 59.94p and the bit rate (Mbps) is 800. Also, the video compression format is AVC. In both cases, the video is recorded internally on the camera's memory card and no external SSD is required. However, recording at these specifications might demand a high-quality and high-speed memory card to handle the data rate effectively. The recording file format is MOV and the bit rate mentioned in the manual, 800 Mbps, suggests the amount of data processed per second. This is sufficient for recording high-quality 4k videos at 60 frames per second with the specified chroma subsampling and color depth.
