The Origin Intelligent Home Observatory from Celestron delivers beautiful views and stunning photos of the cosmos from an easy-to-use platform. The Origin gives you the powerful resolution of a Rowe-Ackerman Schmidt Astrograph optical system—the same telescope used professionally worldwide to detect satellite-threatening space debris—on a fully motorized and computerized GoTo mount. Simply open the Origin app on your phone or tablet, scan the sky, and select the object you wish to observe and photograph. The Origin will point to the star, cluster, or nebula and send rich, autofocused images to the screen of your device, tracking the object as it moves across the sky and refreshing with increasingly detailed exposures. Choose to hear the audio presentation for each object if you'd like more details. More advanced astro-imagers can download raw images via USB-A port for processing with third-party software, and a built-in holder accommodates 1.25 and 2" filters. The Origin sits on a full-height tripod with two-section legs.

For how many hours of usage the battery supports without recharge?
Asked by: Ehud
The exact battery life in hours is difficult to estimate because of variable like how much slewing and wifi transmission is used in the observation sessions. However, the Origin has a larger battery than the regular Evo mount and the Origin will typically run all night on a charge., Recharging before a second night's use is strongly suggested.

I've seen examples of the Celestron being used for galaxy and nebula observation. Are there examples of planetary photography?
Asked by: Sean
The Celestron Origin Intelligent Home Observatory does not have enough magnification for planetary photos. It is intended for deep space mainly.
