As many times as I have trued, the battery doesn't stay seated in the mavik 3 Pro. The battery is of no use.

Can the charger be plugged directly into the battery or does it require the hub or to be charged while in the Mavic?

There are two ways of charging DJI Mavic 3 batteries. You can use the charging hub to charge multiple batteries or plug in the USB cable directly to the drone.
