I purchased this Viltrox lens for my Nikon Z50II. It produces sharp photos even at f2.8. I'll be using it along with my Viltrox 25, 35 and 56mm lenses. I really like the lens a lot.

Surprisingly Good For The Price

Small, light, generally good autofocus. Center is sharp at most apertures. Edges drop off fast. If you compose carefully, you can take advantage of this. Not as good as my old Nikon 20mm f2.8 D lens, but is good for walk around on my Z6 III.

Yes, if you want a lens that has autofocus and is very small and portable at this price range the Viltrox AF 20mm f/2.8 Lens (Nikon Z) would work well for astrophotography. It does have a wide angle field of view on a full frame Nikon Z camera that will allow you to get a wide shot of the sky. It also has the 2.8 aperture that offers good quality in low light.

The Viltrox AF 20mm f/2.8 Lens (Nikon Z) is not a fisheye lens. Fisheye lenses tend to start in the 16mm or wider range, and the product would specifically state "fisheye" in the description.

Viltrox AF 20mm f/2.8 Lens (Sony E) has a 52mm front threaded accesory to connect lens caps and filters. The 43.3mm is the diagonal line cover by the full frame sensor.
