Tilta TA-T64-FCC Reviews
Four stars for effort
Given its shape, placement of controls, and limited mounting points, rigging the BMD Cine 6k is tough. Considering this, the Tilta cage is about as good as it can be. My objective in getting this rig is for my BMD Cine 6k to be lightweight, rugged, and simple to deploy into run-and-gun situations that can involve literal running. With this cage, I can use the BMD battery grip as well as mount a shotgun mic and a small radio receiver. Some limitations to be aware of: * When used with the battery grip, this becomes a half cage. * If you want to use the internal battery in addition to the battery grip, and if you want to change the internal battery, you need to partially disassemble this cage. (Suggestion to Tilta: Make the battery grip extension attach via a quick-release mechanism rather than with a bolt.) * If you mount the BMD viewfinder for this camera, this cage limits how much you can tilt up the viewfinder to around 45 degrees.
Great cage
This is the only cage I could find for the full frame 6K. I've previously used smallrig gear, which is fine but this feels more well built and thoughtfully designed. I can slide the base into my dji gimbal without an additional plate, rosette makes it easy to attach a side handle.
