TC Electronic Hypergravity Comp Overview

The standard mode offers the studio-style compression of the MD3 algorithm, taken directly from TC Electronic's popular System 6000 multi-FX processor. Vintage provides a traditional stompbox compressor, while TonePrint offers full customization via the TonePrint Editor (modes are selected via app). Further controls include Sustain (compression intensity), Attack, and Level (output gain). With an exceptionally compact yet durable die-cast metal case that can fit onto any pedalboard configuration, this pedal will last you for years of touring.

Studio-Quality MD3 Compression

Hypergravity Compressor's highly advanced multiband dynamics algorithm is the same MD3 compression algorithm that can be found in TC Electronic's System 6000 studio compressor, which has been a preferred dynamics tool for top producers for over 10 years. Its engine applies perfectly tailored compression for your highs, mids, and lows, and leaves you with an ultratransparent and more musical compression than what can be achieved with standard single-band compressors. This lets you go from subtle airy shimmers, to full-on straightjacket tone holds, and anywhere inbetween, without ever compromising your original tone.

Vintage Mode

While Hypergravity Compressor provides you with modern studio-style multiband compression, you can also select Vintage mode for traditional stompbox compression. Perfect for percussive country tones, tight funk sounds, or sweet Gilmour sustain, the warm Vintage mode lets you squeeze and squash your tone as much as you want, along with some added presence.

TonePrint

With TC Electronic's proprietary TonePrint technology, you can finally realize the full potential of your inner compression geek. The free TonePrint Editor (macOS and PC) and its wealth of parameters lets you tailor that fully focused compression tone completely to your liking. Via the free TonePrint App (Android and iOS), you can beam custom-tweaked compression tones made by some of music's finest to the pedal. You also get full control over all effects parameters, so you can create your own signature TC sound.
